Welcome to FEM! FEM Dance is not only just a Bachata dance school, It’s a welcoming space where regular individuals come together to connect, have fun, and support one another.

FEM offers classes for all skill levels, from absolute beginners to seasoned pros. Our friendly and supportive environment ensures that you feel comfortable and confident as you learn this exciting dance style.

Wednesday

  • Perfect for those starting with no prior experience. This level consists of two 4-week courses, with new courses starting every 2 weeks. In this course, you’ll learn the basic steps, rhythms, and how to lead and follow with confidence. By the end, you’ll be comfortable dancing Bachata and ready to build on your skills.

  • After completing the Beginner level, this course helps you refine your open-hold technique and build confidence in social dancing. You’ll focus on leading and following techniques while learning fun, dynamic combinations over a 16-week rotating syllabus. Join anytime.

  • At this level, you’ll explore the fundamentals of Bachata Sensual, focusing on body movement, isolations, and styling, and incorporating them into combinations with what you already know. With a 16-week rotating syllabus, you can join anytime. This level is essential to master before progressing to the Intermediate level.

  • After class, join us at El Barrio Bar for non-stop bachata all night. FREE entry.

Thursday

  • After completing the Beginner level, this course helps you refine your open-hold technique and build confidence in social dancing. You’ll focus on leading and following techniques while learning fun, dynamic combinations over a 16-week rotating syllabus. Join anytime.

  • The Intermediate level is for students with a strong understanding of Bachata Sensual fundamentals. You’ll focus on advanced techniques, complex movements, musicality, and styling to elevate your social dancing. This level emphasises precision, creativity, and fast-paced combinations, challenging you every step of the way. Completion of at least 16 weeks of Improvers 2 level is required, along with an assessment to join.

 FAQs

 

  • Absolutely not. We have an awesome beginners program for you to join. We also hold taster classes every 4 weeks. You are always welcome to give it a go, have fun and meet some new people!

  • Partner is not required. However, you are welcome to bring one. Our group classes are designed for you to learn to dance with everyone.

  • You are welcome to wear anything that you feel comfortable moving in. We would recommend wearing flat shoes to begin with. Dance shoes are also Ok but not required.

  • Download the Glofox app. Add your payment method. You can purchase memberships or causal passes on the app. Once you have topped up, book the classes you’d like. Please message us if you have any troubles.

  • The easiest way to register is to register through our website! See our classes and click on the register button. Alternatively, jump straight to the Glofox App and book yourself a class or two.
